New Year Classes 11/25/2009
Christmas is approaching and so is New Years and all the resolutions that come with it. Each year my resolutions tend to be focused on specific areas of my life, for example my financial goals tend to be along the lines of 'this year I will actually make RRSP's a priority instead of shoes and purses'. My personal development goal, "I will recycle, I will compost, I will be a better citizen of the world, I will stop driving the 1.5 kms to work on nice sunny days". Then find myself driving to work in 25 above weather. Sigh. Although some goals eventually do come true. After eight years of commiting to myself that I will start a Masters program, I did that this year. After about 15 years of attempting to run 21.5 km (half marathon), I FINALLY accomplished that last summer as well. My mantra this year seems to have been, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can." In those moments where fitting in family, friends, school, work, fitness seem impossible, I just repeat my mantra and eventually it all gets done. It's on this basis that I encourage you to find goals and tell yourself, "I know I can, I know I can, I know I can". The only way you will ever accomplish anything is if you try. And what's the worst that can happen by simply trying. Merry Christmas and happy resolution setting! Add Comment | AuthorTasha, Boot Camp Instructor ArchivesNovember 2009 Categories |
